Innovation Space is a University of Portsmouth initiative, aimed at supporting startups and new businesses in the local area. 

We understand that starting your own business is hard work, we also understand that knowing where to go for business support and advice can be confusing. We are committed to developing the level of support for businesses of all shapes, sizes and ages, to promote self employment and entreprenurialism, and to strengthen the business community of the area, making Portsmouth's economy stronger and the benefits of this to the city greater.

Portsmouth came in the top 20 for new businesses registered at Companies House in 2014 and Innovation Space is keen to work with local ventures to both develop and improve on this. 

We offer a home for new businesses in our open-plan working environment, with like-minded business owners, a network of support and unparralleled access to new contacts. We run free weekly seminars covering key topics to any business, including writing a business plan, finance for business, copyright and trademark, basic bookkeeping, SEO, PR and social media, as well as many others. As well as this, we send out a fortnightly e-newsletter, keeping people updated of business news and events taking place in the area.
